Vision:
Aligned with the AIIA / ACS Green IT initiative the Client Computing Focus Group will engage ICT Professionals to help shape the use of sustainable and efficient ICT practices in the area of personal computing.
Key Objectives:
There a number of number of key group objectives including:

Increasing the awareness of how whole of lifecycle awareness and management of client devices and their use can reduce harmful gas emissions and energy use.

Provide a networking forum for professionals and provide accessible information for home users and small businesses

Generate, utilise and augment an open Green IT knowledge base.

Increase the adoption of Green IT through knowledge share, stakeholder engagement and best practice recognition.
Why Get Involved?
The focus group provides a forum for contributing to the improvement of sustainable practises in client computing. We can make a real difference by providing a synthesis of current information and package it for the full range of stakeholder groups. The group will provide an excellent kickoff for collaborating with peers, learning from them and sharing with them.
